Year 4 Make a Splash with the Wessex Rivers Trust
Year 4 at KES Prep have been making a splash with a visit from the Wessex Rivers Trust! To start the day, the expert team introduced the children to the vital role rivers play in our ecosystems and led them through a range of engaging, hands-on activities that brought classroom learning vividly to life. It was a fascinating chance to explore rivers from source to sea!

Then in the afternoon it was time to put wellies on and get into our very own River Tadburn. Year 4 checked on the health of the river by discovering all the different creatures that live in it. We were all amazed by how much we found, and the good news is that we found lots more than last year - which is a great sign for the health of our river!
Wessex Rivers Trust is an environmental charity dedicated to the conservation of chalk streams and rivers in Wessex, working towards healthy rivers for wildlife and people. To discover more about their important work, visit them online: www.wessexrt.org.uk
