KES Sixth Form Students Celebrate A-Level Success

We are proud to announce that students receiving their A-Level results at King Edward VI Sixth Form in Southampton have celebrated outstanding success. These superb results are the latest demonstration of how the King Edward School community is committed to helping every pupil achieve their full potential and make a positive contribution to the world around them.

95.8% of students achieved grades A* to C

82% achieved grades A* to B, and

53.3% achieved grades A* to A

Commenting on the results, King Edward VI Head, Neal Parker said:

"I couldn't be prouder of our Sixth Form students today. Another excellent set of A Level results demonstrates that our approach to education at King Edward's continues to deliver academic excellence. These achievements reflect the countless hours of hard work and perseverance shown by our students, supported every step of the way by our exceptional staff.

While today's results rightly deserve celebration, I am equally proud of the young people behind the grades. We are committed to developing independent thinkers, confident learners and responsible citizens, and I am certain that the students receiving their results today are well equipped to thrive in the next stage of their education and beyond. I wish them every success as they embark on the exciting opportunities that lie ahead."

Many of those receiving their results today (including Megan, pictured above) were former pupils of our school. As the Preparatory School to King Edward IV in Southampton, we are proud of our strong academic record and of providing the stretch and challenge that each child needs to inspire them so that they thrive at our school and in every next step they take. 74% of our class of 2026 were awarded the Head's Recommendation last summer, securing an early guarantee of a place at Kind Edward VI Senior School for Year 7 this September.
